Immunotherapy (Allergy Shots)
Allergy shots are a way of making your body less allergic. It is the only treatment currently available that changes the immune system and prevents new allergies and asthma.
Allergy shots are natural. There is no medication in them. We put the allergens to which you are allergic to in the injection. We use your allergy testing to custom make the serum for you.
Allergy immunotherapy involves a series of shots of increasing doses over several weeks to months. Then you are kept on a monthly maintenance dose for a period of 3-5 years.
Research shows allergy shots reduce health care use and costs from prescription medicine use, office visits, and hospitalizations. You should have less symptoms, less need for medications, less missed school or work days related to allergies, and the burden of allergies lifted.
