In some cases if skin and/or blood testing to foods is negative, low, or decreasing, your physician may recommend a food challenge. This involves giving you small amounts of the food in question and increasing the dose usually every 30 minutes.
This is a way to tell if you have outgrown your food allergy. This is always done in an allergist’s office under supervision. It will be up to your physician if they feel this is the right plan for you.
